Accommodation Options:
Homestay Families
To enhance the social, cultural and intensive language experience, we encourage participants to stay with one of our carefully-selected homestay families. This accommodation option is on a half-board basis: breakfast and dinner on weekdays and all meals at the weekend.
All our homestays offer:
• Single study bedroom (doubles available on request)
• Breakfast and dinner during the week and all meals at weekends
• Bed linen and towels provided
• Laundry done weekly
• Typically between 15 to 30 minutes’ walking distance (maximum 45 minutes)
All our accommodation is organised by the school and many of our families have been hosting our students for years. There are very few language schools in a city of 200,000, so we have the choice of some of the very best families.

Executive Homestay Families
Participants of the 30+ course also have the option to stay with one of our executive homestay families. This will also give you intensive exposure to native speakers and an opportunity to network and build long-term friendships, and will also allow you a unique insight into British life and culture.
Executive homestays offer high levels of comfort and convenience (all have Wi-Fi and are within walking distance of LSI/IH Portsmouth) The majority of our homestays are current or retired professionals, academics or senior business managers, often with considerable international experience. We consider the relationships which develop between our executive clients and our homestays to be one of our great advantages.

If you would prefer to stay in a hotel or bed and breakfast while you are here, or if you or your friends or family are coming to Portsmouth and looking for somewhere convenient to stay, we can recommend some good places. Prices vary from place to place depending on the season and availability, so always check with them first before booking.
HOLIDAY INN – In a good location only a short walk from the beach and just 15 minutes’ walk from school.It might also be helpful to look at Portsmouth’s official tourist information website for more accommodation suggestions.
